Dr Chadia Wannous
One Health Global Coordinator, World Organization for Animal Health
Dr. Wannous is the One Health Global Coordinator and Senior Specialist for the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) supporting One Health initiatives, including on zoonotic and vector borne diseases, AMR, and integrating the environment in the One Health approach.
Before joining WOAH, Dr. Wannous worked in the UN System on health emergencies prevention, preparedness and response at the animal, human and environment interfaces. This included coordinated the health components of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and led the Science and Technology Partnership and Advisory Group. She was the Senior Policy Advisor to the UN Special Envoy on Ebola response in West Africa and to the UN System Influenza Coordination.
Dr. Wannous is a public health professional with a PhD in International Health and Development.
